SoundBase® SBA19 was the chosen acoustic underlayment on this project. It was installed under the LVT flooring to ensure building regulations with regards to impact sound reduction were fully met.

SoundBase® SBA19 was chosen not only because it gives a higher impact sound reduction at 19dB, but because it is easier to install. It has a foamed rubber layer between a non-woven scrim on the bottom and top faces of the product, making it more stable compared to traditional rubber and cork crumb products.
